The Kiddo! Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Bill Lampl will be our foundation’s new Executive Director, ending a four-month search that drew more than 60 applicants from across the country. Bill will replace founder Trisha Garlock, who has led the organization since its inception 31 years ago and is retiring at the end of the year.
Bill is a passionate advocate for the arts and education, as well as a deeply committed member of our community. We feel incredibly fortunate to have someone of his caliber and dedication to carry on Trisha’s legacy at Kiddo!.
In addition to his successful career as a business executive, Bill has served for several years as a substitute teacher in our elementary, middle and high schools. He’s seen firsthand how our children are enriched by Kiddo! programs and he embraces our mission to provide students with a well-rounded education. As a parent, he’s experienced the joy we all feel seeing our kids perform on stage, sing in the chorus, or show off their first charcoal drawings. Bill currently has a son in the eighth grade at MVMS and a daughter who attends Tamalpais High School.
Many of you may already know Bill as a tireless volunteer and fundraiser for Kiddo!, the Mill Valley Middle School and Park School PTAs, the Tam High Foundation and the Mill Valley Public Library. He’s also spent countless hours as a youth coach in Mill Valley, in the dugout as a Little League manager, on the field as a coach for the Mill Valley Soccer Club and on the court as a coach for Mount Carmel CYO basketball teams. As a committed volunteer, he knows that Kiddo! is really propelled by all of us, working together to provide an exceptional education for our children.
