Unsure if you need an architect? You probably do! OXBSTUDIO Architects can be your partner in transforming your home, whether it’s a bathroom or kitchen remodel, or building a custom home from the ground up. OXBSTUDIO’s focus on custom and high-end design, and its commitment to melding clients’ unique requirements with function and form, result in beautiful spaces sure to delight any Mill Valley homeowner.
Ted Bonneau and Chad Stith, OXBSTUDIO’s co-founders always knew they wanted to own their own architecture firm. They met at architecture school in Arizona, then both worked at large firms until 2008, when they struck out on their own and created OXBSTUDIO in Mill Valley. Mill Valley was a natural choice for Ted, as he grew up in Marin, attending Terra Linda High, and married an Old Mill School and Tam High graduate.
Because half of their projects are here in Mill Valley, OXBSTUDIO is particularly adept at helping clients navigate Mill Valley’s design review process, which can be complex at times. OXBSTUDIO also understands the challenges of remodeling and building in Mill Valley. From steep hillsides to tight roads, there’s no aspect of design and construction that is a surprise for them.
Ted and Chad’s most recently completed project is this new residence on Lovell Avenue in Mill Valley. The West facing home takes advantage of cross canyon views while utilizing deep overhangs and shade structures to protect the interior from the direct afternoon sun.
Ted and Chad are avid supporters of Kiddo! Unsurprisingly, both agree that art was their favorite subject in school, and feel it’s a vital part of children’s education. Both also appreciate the many other programs supported by Kiddo!, including Alan Scofield’s dance programs and the multi-faceted music program. We thank OXBSTUDIO for their commitment to Kiddo!
